This year we are focusing more on serving the needs of people with disabilities such as autism and people who are confined to a wheelchair whether they be adults or youths by providing them with assistance dogs. We have just begun working with a little black lab named Tucker who will be going to a family to help assist with autism. Tucker is only 12 weeks old but is already doing very well. He can sit, stay, come, walk on leash, and is working on his potty training. As a puppy tucker will be receiving training on the basic obedience commands and focusing on socialization. It's crucial at this age he be exposed to everything he may encounter later on in life. Socialization is the key to any training but completly essential to service dogs. If you know anyone who may benefit from a service dog have them contact us at 904-237-2044.
